Bruree Rockhill Community Games

Talent: The final of the Under 10 Talent competition took place last Sunday evening in Caherconlish. Jennifer Cotter, Sam Williams and Holly O’Dwyer came first in the group traditional dance and got gold medals. Frankie Barrington came fourth in the solo music and got a bronze medal. Hard luck to Michelle Brosnan who performed very well in the solo music Under 14 competition the night before. The standard was very high and even though she was not among the winners, she represented her area very well.

Fashion Extravaganza

RTE newsreader, Anne Doyle, will compere an evening of fashions at the Charleville Park Hotel on Friday, April 8th, starting at 8.00 pm. Local shops will display their latest fashion ranges for ladies and men in a fundraising night in aid of Ballyhoura Community Radio. Tickets are just €10 and are available from the station’s studios at Smith’s Lane, Charleville, from the hotel, from the OrielHorgans and the participating shops or locally from John Harrold.

Juvenile GAA

Our under 14 hurling team got the new season off to a winning start when they defeated Ballybricken/Bohermore in the Feile competition. In a closely contested game our lads came from behind to win on a scoreline of 5 - 3 to 3 - 3. Scorers for Bruree were Aaran Fitzgerald, Cian McCarthy and Shane Feane.

Lotto

Lucky dip winners in last week's Bruree GAA/Rockhill Rovers lotto were €50 Ann Potter €25 Donal and Miriam, Josie Lynch €20 Gerard O‘Dea, Thomas O‘Dwyer, Noel O‘Halloran.
