Hurling: On Tuesday, April 11th, Bruree National School took on Hospital in a home game at Bruree. Hospital got off to a winning start with two points in the first ten minutes. Just before the half time break, Bruree got a goal from a thirty yard free from the sideline taken by Sean Quirke. The sides were very evenly matched in the second half. Hospital managed to secure the only score of the half  when they added a point to bring the sides to level pegging. Both sides had their chances but were well served by their backs and goalies to deny each side at least two goals. The final score was Bruree 1-0 Hospital 0-3. Thanks to Hospital for a very sporting game. Bruree will have to wait for the result of Ballyagran meeting with Hospital on May 4th to see how things work out. The table stands as follows at the moment:
Ballyagran L 1 W 0 D 0
Hospital L 0 W 0 D 1
Bruree L 0 W 1 D 1.
