Juvenile GAA
Under 13 Football versus Kilteely-Dromkeen in Bruree: The saying “what goes around comes around” was never more apt to describe our most recent Under 13 match. Two weeks after we had a comprehensive victory over Kilteely-Dromkeen in our Under 13 Hurling match, our visitors had their revenge with the big ball. The visitors started with real purpose and started to dominate in all sectors of the field. Despite this they struggled to pull away from Bruree and with Ciaran Sexton bringing off some great saves and the defence working overtime we succeeded in keeping the score down to a 4 point margin at halftime. The fluency which was a hallmark of the first game we played was missing on this occasion and while the team continued to fight hard in the second half Kilteely’s greater craft told in the end. On an evening where we struggled throughout the field, Daire O’Driscoll, Brian Sexton, David O’Connell, Sean Quirke and Tommy Cronnolly more than held their own.
We have a busy schedule coming up over the coming weeks with games moving to Monday evenings and occurring on a weekly basis. So it’s onto the next challenge and the chance to make amends for this game!
Summer Cul Camp: The Summer Camp will run this year from Monday July 4th to Friday July 8th inclusive. This year the camp will be a Cul Camp provided through the Limerick County GAA Board. We will have further details on this over the next few weeks.

Community Games
Congratulations to Rachel Williams who represented Bruree Rockhill and Limerick at the All Ireland finals in Athlone last weekend. Rachel won a silver medal coming second in all Ireland in the Under 12 art finals. Her brother Sam competed very well in the Under 10 handwriting competition in Athlone. Well done to Rachel and Sam and all those involved with community games in the parish.
