Bruree Notes 6/11/2011

Sportsfield

The AGM of the Rockhill Bruree Sportsfield Development Committee will be held on Friday, November 18th, at 8.00 pm in St. Patrick’s National School. These are exciting time for the future of the sportsfield so, hopefully, there will be a large and representative attendance at the meeting. Everyone is welcome.

Bruree GAA

Players Development Fund: Bruree GAA is holding its Player Development Fund annual draw again this year. The 2011 draw has €4,000 in prizes over four weekly draws. And the good news is that the subscription is still the same - just €20 for the four draws. The first draw will be held on Monday, November 28th, with the other draws on subsequent Monday nights. The Grand Prize in the final draw on Monday, December 19th is a weekend for two in New York or €1,000 in cash. Contact any member of Bruree GAA to join the draw.

45 Drive

Winners of last week’s 45 Drive were Noreen Hayes and Josephine Lynch and Sean Blake and Katherine O’Regan with eight games. Raffle prizes went to Josephine Lynch, Mary Noonan, Mary Margaret Noonan and Katherine O’Regan. The 45 Drive continues in the Community Centre every Tuesday night, starting at 8.30 pm sharp.

Juvenile GAA

Fixtures:
The Under 16 hurlers will play Croagh/Kilfinny in the County semi-final of the 11 a side competition on Saturday, November 12th, at a venue and time to be announced.
The Under 16 footballers will play Fedamore in the semi-final of the Shield competition in Bruree on Saturday, 19th November, at 11.30am.

Community Games

Bruree Rockhill Community Games held an AGM on October 18th as previously advertised. The current committee has come to the following decision: Bruree Rockhill Community Games does not intend to affiliate for the year 2012 due to lack of parental interest and poor attendance.
The local Community Games committee will remain inactive unless sufficient numbers of people contact the local secretary at 087-2847429 and express their intention to support in the organisation of local activities.
If sufficient interest is forthcoming, a further meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 15th.

Sympathy

We extend our sincere sympathy to the family, relatives and friends of Anna Dunworth, Newtownshandrum, and Moria Kavanagh, Charleville, who died recently

Lucky dip winners in last week’s Bruree GAA/Rockhill Rovers lotto draw were €50 Sean Ryan €25 John O’Gorman, Diane Scanlan c/o Mary Noonan €20 Jim O’Shea, Pat Murphy, Helen O’Sullivan.
