The Right Note
Due to unforeseen circumstances, the Rockhill Bruree Sportsfield Development Committee presentation, The Right Note, in the Church of the Immaculate Conception in Bruree has been cancelled.
Bruree GAA
A.G.M. The Annual General Meeting of Bruree GAA will be held on Friday, December 16th, in Bruree School, starting at 8.00 pm sharp. Notice for the meeting has gone to all members and all nominations and motions must be with Brendan Hogan by Thursday, November 24th.
45 Drive
Winners of last week’s 45 Drive were Fintan Stone and Mike O’Brien with eight games. Runners up were Anne Potter and partner, Tom O’Rourke and John Moloney, John and Marie Healy and Noreen Hayes and Josephine Lynch. Raffle prizes went to Martin Carroll, John Moloney, Tom O’Rourke and Fintan Stone. The 45 Drive continues in the Community Centre every Tuesday night, starting at 8.30 pm sharp.
Juvenile GAA
Congratulations to our Under 14’s who won the County football final at Rathkeale on Sunday. The final score was Bruree 5-3 Granagh/Ballingarry 3-5.
Bruree Juvenile GAA club will hold their AGM this Friday night, November 25th, at 8pm in the school hall. We hope to have a good attendance at this important meeting and we would especially like to see many parents and new people to the parish at the meeting.
The Juvenile GAA awards night will take place on Sunday week, December 4th, at Bulgaden Castle. Proceedings will get underway at 5.30pm and will finish at 8.30.
One Man Band
Ballyhoura Community Radio (BCR92.6FM) will launch its radio documentary “The One Man Band” at the Charleville Park Hotel on Monday, December 5th, at 9.00pm the documentary tells the story of the late great Johnny Barrett and music for the night will be provided by Dermot Lyons and guests. Tickets are €10 and are available locally from John Harrold, any of the other BCR92.6FM presenters or at the door on the night.

Social Media Course
Ballyhoura Development are organising a course entitled “Social Media for Community and Voluntary Groups”, delivered by the Carmichael Centre, for community and voluntary groups in the Ballyhoura area. This one day course will be held in the Hospital Family Resource Centre, Hospital, Co. Limerick, on Saturday 11th February 2012, from 10am to 4pm. The cost of the course is €30 per person. Places are limited and are allocated on a first come first serve basis.
Ballyhoura Development are also running a Wordpress course in Scoil Pól, Kilfinane, Co. Limerick, on Saturday 28th January from 10am to 2pm. The cost of the course is €20 per person. Places are limited and are allocated on a first come first served basis.
