BRUREE NOTES 5/4/2009

EASTER CEREMONIES

The following are the times for the Easter ceremonies in the parish:
Holy Thursday: Bruree Church at 8.00 pm
Good Friday: Rockhill Church at 3.00 pm and in Bruree at 7.30 pm.
Easter Saturday: Vigil Mass in Rockhill Church at 8.00 pm
Easter Sunday: Mass in Bruree at 11.30 am
Masses for the week after Easter are Wed to Fri. at 9.30 am
Fr. Desmond McAuliffe would like to wish all the parishioners a very Happy and joyous Easter.

Membership: All members are reminded that their membership fee is now well overdue. This is €10 for adults and €2 for juvenile members. Please co-operate by paying yours immediately.

Juvenile Helmets: Any juvenile player wishing to purchase a new helmet can do so at a large discount through Bruree GAA Club and Bruree National School. Savings of up to 50% can be made compared to the prices that are charged in sports shops. For further information contact any adult member of Bruree GAA Club and your teacher at Bruree National School. All Small and Medium helmets available through the school and Large helmets are available through Bruree GAA Club.
Golf Classic: A Golf classic will be held at Charleville Golf Club on Friday, July 17th. Full details later.

ACTIVITY SUMMER CAMP

The Bruree Activity Summer Camp for all children attending national school will take place this year from 6th to 10th July. The venue will be St. Patrick’s National School. Lucky dip winners in last week’s Bruree GAA/Rockhill Rovers lotto draw were €50 Nora O’Sullivan, Ballyagran €25 Stephen and Brian Sexton, Louise Cagney €20 Nuala Leslie, Frances Fitzgerald, Hospital, Lucy Hynes, Grange.

DIVINE MERCY NOVENA

The annual Divine Mercy Novena takes place in Athlacca Church on Sunday, April 19th, from 2.45 to 4.00 pm. The Novena will be led by Fr. Phonsie Cullinan and Fr. Tony Mullins with extra priests for confessions. There will be exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Novena Prayers, confessions and Mass. All are welcome to come along for just one hour and you will be blessed with St. Faustina’s relic.

GOLF SOCIETY

Bruree Golf Society will have its first outing of the year on Easter Sunday, April 12th to Mallow Golf Club. This outing is sponsored by Geraldine Dollery. The first tee time is 11.00 am. Best of luck to everyone.
A limited number of society t-shirts, jumpers, hats and umbrellas are still available. Contact Danny Deady or John Carey.
