BRUREE PARENT AND TODDLER



Bruree Parent and Toddler Group continues every Tuesday morning from 10.00 am to 12.00 noon in Bruree National School. Apology: Apologies to Anthony O’Shea for omitting him from the list of selectors in last weeks report on the Under 21 hurlers who won the county title recently.

South Final: Bruree lost out to old rivals Kilmallock at Bruff in Sunday night’s South Senior Hurling final. The final score was Bruree 1-11 Kilmallock 0-17.



45 DRIVE



Winners of the 45 Drive last week with ten games were Mary Margaret Noonan and Nora Mai Donworth. Runners up with nine games were Eugene Grant and Joe Carey. The table prize went to Mary Noonan and Ann Frawley. Raffle prizes went to Eddie Ryan, Tom O’Rourke, Fintan Stone and Katherine O’Regan. The 45 Drive continues in the Community Centre every Tuesday night, starting at 8.30 pm sharp.



TABLE QUIZ



A table quiz in aid of the Cochlear Implant Programme at Beaumount Hospital will be held at the Central Bar, Bruree, on this Friday, September 4th, starting at 9.30 pm. The subscription for a team of four is €40 and there will be spot prizes and a raffle on the night. Everybody is welcome and your support would be greatly appreciated.



GOLF SOCIETY



Bruree Golf Society held their President’s, Liam Hogan, prize recently. The society had a great day out at Shannon Golf Course and prizes were presented at the Central Bar later that evening. Prize winners were as follows: 1st Frankie Finn 2nd Donna Finn 3rd Kevin Cagney 4th John Carey 5th Brendan Horan Nearest the Pin Mike Potter Longest Drive Men Eamon Williams Ladies Rose Moloney Best Beginner Pascal O’Dea Best Front Nine John Lyons Best Back Nine Ger Mullane.

The society has its final outing of the year at Kanturk Golf Club on this Saturday. We wish them the best of luck.
