AWARD FINALIST

The 2009 Ulster Bank Business Achievers Awards, organised in association with the Irish Independent, Enterprise Ireland and InterTradeIreland, aim to celebrate business success, irrespective of business offering, size, sector or location. Companies are judged on a variety of merits including sales performance, market share growth, company milestones, innovative new products or services and successful achievements by key personnel. Bruree based company, Mobile IT, has been short listed as one of three companies in Munster for an award - under the Social Entrepreneurship Award. Mobile IT manager, Carol Ahern, said “This is a fantastic reward for Mobile I.T. and is due to hard work of all our staff and all the support of our course participants past and present.”
Mobile IT is a community based project which was set up in 2002. It is a not for profit company funded by the government under the Pobal Community Services Programme. Mobile IT also has links with Ballyhoura Development. The company offers computer based training either in the home, school or business and to community groups or at their training facilities in Bruree.
Short listed Munster businesses will be rewarded at provincial level before finalists go on to compete for the national title at an all-island awards ceremony in February 2010. We congratulate all involved in Mobile IT and wish them further success in their business and in the Ulster Bank Business Achievers Awards 2009.
