BRUREE NOTES 7/3/2010

GAA



Membership: The annual membership subscription is now due and should be paid to Kit O’Halloran immediately. The membership fee for 2010 is €20 for adults. Any player will not be allowed participate in training or play in games until such time as they have paid their membership fee.

45 DRIVE



Winners of the 45 Drive this week with nine games were Fintan Stone and Mike O’Brien and John and Marie Healy. Raffle prizes went to Ann Frawley and John Moloney (x3). The 45 Drive continues in the Community Centre every Tuesday night, starting at 8.30 pm sharp.



BRUREE JUVENILE GAA



Indoor Hurling 2010: This year’s indoor hurling competition is now drawing to a conclusion with the final stages planned for this week. Dates and times are as follows:

The semi finals for Under 12, the shield final for Under 8 and Under 10 and the Cup final for Under 12 will take place on Thursday, March 11th from 7.00 to 9.00 pm.

Once again, this year’s main sponsor is Ray Moloney Butcher, Bruree. All players are asked to only attend on the nights they are playing. The finals are on Thursday, 11th March, and all players must attend on this night as there will be presentations. Team lists have been put on the notice board at the school and managers over each team will receive a full list.

We extend our sincere sympathy to the family, relatives and friends of Rita Ryan, Lottera, Maura O'Connor, Ballyclough, Bruree, and Elizabeth Leonard, Glenosheen, who died recently.

Talent: The semi-final of the Under 14 talent competition was held recently at Caherconlish. Michelle Brosnan qualified for the county final on March 12th in solo music. Our group also qualified for the final. They are Laura Murphy, Rachel McCarthy, Michelle Brosnan, Julianne Barrington, Emma Howard and Mary Murphy. Congratulations and best of luck to all.
