BRUREE NOTES 7/8/2010

CLERKS COLLECTION




The collection for the parish clerks will be taken up this weekend, on Saturday, August 28th, in Rockhill and on Sunday, August 29th, in Bruree. Your generosity would be greatly appreciated.



PRE-SCHOOL



Bruree Rockhill Community Childcare Limited will open “Stepping Stones” pre-school at Main Street, Bruree, on September 6th, 2010. Approval has been granted for the Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) scheme and also for the Community Childcare Subvention (CCS) scheme. We are now taking enrolments and for further details please contact 087 1649755. There will be an open day at the preschool for everyone in the middle of August, exact date to be confirmed.

45 DRIVE



Winners of the 45 Drive last week with eleven games were Tom Hanley and Tommy O’Riordan. Runners up with ten games were Fintan Stone and Mike O’Brien. Raffle prizes were won by John Moloney, Sean Healy, Josephine Lynch and Tom Hanley. The 45 Drive continues in the Community Centre every Tuesday night, starting at 8.30 pm sharp.

MILFORD HOSPICE



Church Gate Collection: Church Gate Collection in aid of Milford Hospice will take place on the 14th and 15th of August in the parish of Bruree/Rockhill. Your support would be greatly appreciated.



25th Annual Harvest Fair: The Harvest Fair Committee once again appeals for your support in donating goods such as clothes, books, toys, bric-a-brac. All items are currently being accepted on the grounds of Milford Hospice. Items will be checked for quality before being accepted, in order to minimise the major costs involved with the disposal of unsalable items. Your support is very much appreciated. Harvest Fair takes place on the grounds of the Unigolf facility Castletroy on Sunday 29th August at 2.00p.m.

Lucky dip winners in last week’s Bruree GAA/Rockhill Rovers lotto draw were €50 Margaret Pearson €25 Mary Condon, Mary Boyce, Castletown €20 Mary Deady, Caitlin and Aine Murphy, Catherine Sexton.
