Bruree Notes 14/11/2010

GAA

Players Development Fund: Bruree GAA is holding its Player Development Fund annual draw again this year. The 2009 draw has €1,000 in cash as a first prize in each of four weekly draws. There will also be one prize of €200 and three of €100 for each draw. And the good news is that the subscription is still the same - just €20 for the four draws. The first draw will be held on Monday, November 29th, with the other draws on subsequent Monday nights. Contact any member of Bruree GAA to join the draw.
AGM: The Annual General Meeting of Bruree GAA will be held on this Saturday, November 20th in the Community Centre at 8.30 pm. All members and players are asked to attend. This is the most important meeting of the year and gives members a chance to look back on the past year and to look forward to 2011.

Stepping Stones Pre-School

We would like to thank all those involved in our recent Halloween Party. It was a tremendous success and enjoyed by all. At Stepping Stones our aim is to provide the children with a sound grounding to ensure they enter school happy and confident.
We are participating in the ECCE scheme which provides one year of free pre-school education to every child in Ireland and the CCS scheme which aims to support parents/guardians in receipt of social welfare or with medical cards to reduce their childcare costs.

St. Patrick’s National School

The winners in Week 1 of the school’s Silver Circle draw were 1. Maureen Bourke, 2. Josef Fabry, 3. Siobhan Twomey, 4. Teresa Twomey, 5. John Cronnolly, Sellers Prize Grace Donworth.
The winners in Week 2 of the school’s Silver Circle draw were 1. Kayleigh Thompson, 2. Gerard O’Sullivan, Howardstown, 3. Elaine Frawley, 4. Anna Irwin, Feenagh, 5. Marie O’Brien, Sellers Prize Gabrielle Nyst.


Juvenile GAA

Presentation Social: Bruree Juvenile GAA will hold it’s Presentation Social at Club D’Ville at the Charleville Park Hotel on Sunday November 28th from 5.30  to 8.30 pm. Tickets at €10 each are available from Gerard Sexton (086-2103751), Joan Quirke (087-7671573) or from Karen Rea. Tickets are also available at the Community Centre during the Indoor Hurling tournament.
Jerseys: Any parent who would like to purchase a Bruree jersey/togs for their child should contact Pat Boyce at 063-81236 immediately. Availability will be dependent on sufficient demand.

45 Drive

Winners of the 45 Drive last week with nine games were Sean Blake and Katherine O’Regan. Runners up with seven games were Eddie Ryan and Jim O’Connor. The table prize was won by Tom Hanley and John Sheehan. Raffle prizes were won by Jim O’Connor, Marie Healy, Joe Carey and Fintan Stone. The 45 Drive continues in the Community Centre every Tuesday night, starting at 8.30 pm sharp.


Remembrance Mass

Friends of Beech Lodge Care Facility, Bruree are invited to attend a special Mass of Remembrance on Friday November 26 at 3.00 pm. At the mass, celebrated by Fr Des McAuliffe PP, we will commemorate Beech Lodge residents who passed away in the last 12 months. All are welcome.
