Bruree Notes 6/3/2011

Ger Murphy on behalf of the Bruree GAA/Rockhill Rovers Lotto presenting the proceeds of this week’s lotto draw to Donal Deady, who travels as a volunteer coach to Athens to the Special Olympics World games in June. Congratulations to Patrick Hogan on being named Junior Player of the Year with Naomh Padraig Hurling Club in San Francisco.
Congratulations also to Anthony O’Shea on being presented with the Junior Football award at the South Awards night last Saturday night.

Bruree Rockhill Community Games

Rockhill / Bruree Defibrillator Association

Following enormous public interest and weeks of training, the Rockhill/Bruree Defibrillator Association went live on Saturday last, March 5th at 12.00 noon. The number for parishioners to ring in case of emergency will be distributed in the coming week and it recommended that this be stored on mobile/land phones, or easily accessible if and when needed.

45 Drive

Winners of the 45 Drive last week with nine games were Eugene Grant and Joe Carey. Runners up with seven games were Mary Noonan and Evelyn Byrnes and Sean Blake and Katherine O’Regan. Raffle prizes went to Martin Carroll (x4).  The 45 Drive continues in the Community Centre every Tuesday night, starting at 8.30 pm sharp.

Parent Baby and Toddler Group

The parent, baby and toddler group meet every Tuesday at Bruree National School hall from 10.00 to 12.00 am. Parents/grandparents are invited to come along and enjoy a chat with other parents over a nice cup of tea whilst your little ones enjoy playing and socialising with other kids their own size. There is lots of fun to be had!! People from all surrounding areas are very welcome. Contact Helen (087-9412600), Margie (086-0747581) or just come along on Tuesday at 10.00 am. See you there.

Lotto

Lucky dip winners in last week’s Bruree GAA/Rockhill Rovers lotto draw were €50 Patrick Horgan,  €25 Edmund O’Leary Jnr., Charleville, Breda Allen, €20 Poker Boys, Bruree, Mary Deady, Rockhill, Betty Harrold, Ballyagran.
