BRUREE NOTES 24/6/2012





ST. THERESE:

All roads lead to Dromin Church on Sunday, July 8th, when First Class relics of St. Thérèse of Lisieux and relics of her parents will arrive at 2.00 pm. It is a day you cannot afford to miss and bring a rose. Young and old and wheelchair bound will be arriving until 5.00 pm. Al the relics arrived in Shannon Airport just recently and the whole parish of Dromin-Athlacca is extremely happy about the upcoming visit.

SPORTSFIELD:

Car Boot Sale: The next Car Boot Sale will be held on this Saturday, June 30th, at the Old Creamery Yard between O’Rourkes Cross and Bruree village. Traders can set up from 8.00 am and the admission is €10 for cars or €15 for vans. The sale is open to the public from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm and admission is just €2 for adults. Children are admitted free. Tea and refreshments will be available.

JUVENILE GAA:

Under 14: Congratulations to our Under 14 hurlers who won the county league title on Friday night. St Mary's Rathkeale provided the opposition and the game was played in Rathkeale The final score was Bruree 4-1 St. Mary’s 1-5. The Bruree panel was Eoghan O’Driscoll, David O’Connell, Shane Hannon, Daire O’Driscoll, Tommy Cronolly, Brian Sexton, Sam Cronolly, Johnathan Fitzpatrick Owen Carey, Gearoid McCarthy, Edward Moore,Cathal Barrington, Jimmy Leslie-Madigan, Sean Quirke and Finnbarr Fitzpatrick
Cul Camp: The Cul Camp runs from Monday July 2nd to Friday July 6th inclusive. We are asking all parents who can to register their children on line at www.gaa.ie/kelloggsculcamps.
If you cannot register on line please let us know if your child is participating by contacting Micheal Lyons @ 086 8232857. It is vital that we have a good idea of numbers as soon as possible so that we can have enough coaches available. Any further information required can be obtained by contacting Micheal.

ACTIVITY CAMP:

Bruree Activity Summer Camp will run from July 23rd - 27th. The venue is the Primary school in Bruree. Activities include soccer, tag rugby, dodge ball, bench ball, bowling, spud n spoon races, art and crafts and many more. SYMPATHY:

We extend our sincere sympathy to the family, relatives and friends of Dan Hartigan, USA and formerly of Rockhill, and Dora O’Connor, Freemount, who died recently.
