BRUREE NOTES 28/4/2013

TIDY TOWNS TABLE QUIZ:

Bruree Tidy Towns are holding a table quiz on Friday, May 17th, in The Central Bar, Bruree.  There will be a prize for the winning team of four and lots of spot prizes too.  Tickets available in advance from Tidy Town committee members or buy on the night (€40 per table of four).  Further details to follow.

RAMBLING HOUSE:

The Rockhill Bruree Sportsfield Development committee will hold a traditional Irish rambling house on this Friday, May 3rd, starting at 8.00 pm in Bruree Community Centre. There will be excellent entertainment from local and visiting entertainers and all are welcome. Children must be accompanied by an adult. The song says that “if they found a hat of his convenient to the door, the more they put in, the better would the music be!” No hat - but a bucket “convenient to” the door and donations will be greatly appreciated. Tea will be served and there will be a raffle on the night. The first rambling house, held back in April, was a great success and had a large crowd. Everyone is welcome.

GAA:

Cycle/Walk/Run: Over one hundred people participated in last Sunday’s event and enjoyed an exhilarating couple of hours exercise out in the fresh air. The event was started by Kerry footballer, Darragh Ó Sé, and refreshments were served in the Central Bar to allow people wind down and recover. Thanks to everyone who took part and to everyone who helped organise the event and who helped on the day. Any outstanding sponsorship cards should be returned to Johnny Wall immediately.
