BRUREE NOTES 8/3/2009

GAA
Munster Final Replay: The Munster Junior B hurling final replay against Moyne/Templetuohy on Sunday was postponed. It is now fixed for Sunday next, March 15th, in Raheenagh at 2.30 pm. We hope that there will be a large turnout of supporters on the day. Please check with club before travelling in case of change of venue.
Membership: All members are reminded that their membership fee is now overdue. This is €10 for adults and €2 for juvenile members. The club will be stricter than ever on the payment of membership this year so please co-operate by paying yours immediately.
Oral History: The GAA Oral History Project aims to record the fullest possible picture of what the GAA has meant to the Irish people, in their own words. A questionnaire has been designed to gather as much information as possible and this questionnaire will be preserved as a permanent resource on the history of the GAA and Irish society. Anyone interested in participating in this collecting of the oral history of the GAA can contact Elaine Horgan or John Harrold to obtain a copy of the questionnaire.
Jobs: Limerick GAA Jobs Creation Ltd has decided with the full support of Limerick GAA Management Committee to product a booklet which will be distributed within the county of the names of members who provide services. At a time of increasing unemployment this is an opportunity for the GAA to become proactive in creating employment opportunities for its members. There is a wide range of services which can be provided and include such areas as electrical, plumbing, block laying, stone wall building, carpentry, plastering, site work, landscaping, garden maintenance, bookkeeping, accounting, photography, secretarial/administration, computer and white goods repair. The GAA either at club or county level bear no responsibility for the quality of the work. The only requirement is that the person providing the service is a full member of the GAA. If you are eligible to be included in this booklet, please give your name and the type of service provided along with a contact number to Elaine Horgan.
