Bruree Notes

GAA
Mackey Draw: Bruree GAA had a number of winners in recent Mackey Stand Draws; In the April draw James V. and David O’Brien won two All Ireland tickets and overnight accommodation. In the May draw Pat Cullen Snr. won €2,000 while Kevin Sexton won €200. Well done to all.

DOGS
Dog owners are asked to refrain from walking their dogs in the sportsfield. Many adults and children use the sportsfield on a regular basis and there is a serious health danger from dog excrement. Please have consideration for those who want a safe place to engage in sporting activities.
Lá na gClubanna: Bruree GAA celebrated the 125th anniversary of the founding of the GAA on Sunday last. There was Mass in Bruree church in memory of all deceased members of the club followed by a parade of members of the club to the sportsfield. At the sportsfield there were some fun activities for all the family including U8, U12 and U14 matches as well as a long puck competition for all ages and beanbag races. A big crowd turned out on a fine May afternoon.
