Winners of the 45 Drive last week with nine games were Noreen Hayes and Josephine Lynch. Runners up with eight games were John and Marie Healy. Raffle prizes went to Sadie Moloney, Jim O’Connor (x2) and Mary Margaret Noonan. The 45 Drive continues in the Community Centre every Tuesday night, starting at 8.30 pm sharp.

Beech Lodge Care Facility was alive with the sounds of traditional Irish music and dance as The Butterfly Company brought their magical show Ceoilte to the nursing home last Friday morning. Featuring music from Riverdance, old favourites like Danny Boy and lively Irish dancing, residents thoroughly enjoyed the performance. A big thank you to performers Edel Lawless, Sarahrose Murphy, Katie Brennan and director Emma Joyce who did a marvellous job.

Handwriting: Congratulations to Tadhg Gorey O’Neill who won first prize in the handwriting competition for primary schools. He was a joint winner in one of the First and Second Class categories. He was presented with his award at a function in Limerick last week. Well done, Tadhg!
