HAITI




A Table quiz in aid of Haiti disaster relief will be held at the Central bar, Bruree, on this Friday night, April 23, starting at 9.00 pm. Your support would be greatly appreciated.

Membership: The annual membership subscription is now overdue and should be paid to Kit O’Halloran immediately. The membership fee for 2010 is €20 for adults. Any player will not be allowed participate in training or play in games until such time as they have paid their membership fee.

45 DRIVE



Winners of the 45 Drive last week with eight games were Anne Frawley and Katherine O’Regan. Runners up with seven games were John and Marie Healy and Brendan O’Kelly and John Sheehan. Raffle prizes went Nora May Donworth (x 2), Marie Healy and Tom O’Rourke. The 45 Drive continues in the Community Centre every Tuesday night, starting at 8.30 pm sharp.

SEEKING VOLUNTEERS



Beech Lodge Care Facility is looking for volunteer music groups or activity groups to entertain residents at our busy care facility (both the elderly care section and the specialised care unit) in Bruree. All kinds of music, age groups etc will be considered. We also welcome visitors who may be interested in having a chat and a cup of tea with our residents. DAFFODIL DAY



The total amount raised from Mildred O’Dea’s coffee morning in aid of Daffodil Day was €923. Special thanks to Mrs. Josephine Lynch who raised €104 at the cards in Athlacca and €39 from Geraldine Dollery’s Shop. Thanks a bunch to everyone for their generosity.



COMMUNITY GAMES



Bruree-Rockhill Community Games will hold a church gate collection on this Saturday, April 24th, and Sunday, April 25th. All support would be gratefully accepted.



BRUREE LADIES FOOTBALL



There will be a meeting of Bruree Ladies Football Club on Monday, April 26th, at Bruree Community Centre. The club has been revived after a lapse of a few years. Anyone interested in playing or becoming involved is invited to attend. We wish the club every success in the coming season.



BRUREE GOLF SOCIETY



Our Star team secured a 3-2 win over Hayes Bar team from Knocklong at Tipperary. The Bruree team is Kevin Cagney, Frank Finn, Danny Deady, Margaret Deady, Tom Weekes, Trevor Barry, Mike Sexton, Ger Mullane, John Carey, Mike Potter, Joe Carroll, Joe Dore and Donal Deady.



The next outing is the Pat Potter Memorial Singles to Killarney Golf and Fishing Club. This is on May 1st. Names have to be in by April 28th. No names or money will be accepted on the day.



LOTTO



The lucky dip winners in last week’s Bruree GAA/Rockhill Rovers lotto draw were €50 Mary Noonan €25 Mary McSweeney, Charleville, Eamon and Molly €20 Ann Frawley, Edward Potter, Berlin, Selina Harris.
